Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday virtually flagged off helicopter services on the Haldwani–Almora routes under the Centre’s UDAN (Regional Connectivity Scheme).
The services will operate twice daily, seven days a week, with fares fixed at ?2,500. Flights on the Haldwani–Almora flights will run at 11:50 am and 3:10 pm, improving connectivity in the hill regions.

The second Manora Bird Festival, organized by the Wild Tuskers Society, will take place from Wednesday at Balot Resort, Suryajala, Nainital. The Kumaon Motor Owners Union (KEMU) has started a new bus service from Haldwani to Munsyari, offering a convenient and affordable travel option for passengers. Aimed at boosting tourism in the hilly regions and improving transport facilities for locals, the service will operate daily.
The one-way fare for the journey has been set at Rs 640, making it an economical choice for travelers. The bus will depart from Haldwani at 5:00 AM, passing through Seraghat, Bedinagar, Thal, and Nachani, reaching Munsyari by evening. The return journey will begin the next day at 5:00 AM, benefiting passengers traveling to Almora, Haldwani, and nearby areas.

A seven seater helicopter will operated by Air Heritage fly 2 times a day from Haldwani to each destination. The ticket price for helicopter service from Haldwani will be INR 2500 per person for Champawat, INR 3000 for Pithoragarh and INR 3500 for Munsiyari.
