Heli Service Launched for Gauchar and Joshiyara to Boost Tourism and Connectivity
To promote air connectivity in the state, heli service started from Sahastradhara (Dehradun) Gauchar and Joshiyara from November 15. For this, Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority's talks with Pawan Hans are in the final stages. Its fare will also be decided soon. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced last month to start heli service for Gauchar in Chamoli and Joshiada in Uttarkashi. CM Dhami highlighted that the state government has worked long to establish this air service, and the expansion of Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun is a significant step forward. The service, under the Udan Khatola Yojana, is expected to boost tourism, economy, and employment opportunities, especially benefiting women entrepreneurs.
