Lohajung Location
Lohajung is a small village which is nestled at an elevation of 2300 m in the Himalayan range of the Garhwal region of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state. Lohajung is the base of Many famous trekking hubs like- Roopkund trek, Bedni Bugyal trek, Brahmatal trek, etc.
How to reach Lohajung
There are two routes for Lohajung. One is from Kathgodam and another from Haridwar/Rishikesh. You can choose one of them as per your convenience.
Lohajung from Haridwar/Rishikesh
From Haridwar: You can reach Haridwar by train. This root is long but rewarding as it passes through popular hill stations of Garhwal region. After reaching Haridwar you can take a bus or hire a taxi.
Places to Visit during Drive: Haridwar / Rishikesh - Devprayag - Srinagar - Rudraprayag - Karanprayag - turn right to Tharali - Deval - Mundoli - Lohajung.
Lohajung from Dehradun: You can reach Dehradun by train or flight and then follow the same route as of Haridwar/Rishikesh to reach Lohajung.
Lohajung from Kotdwar: You can reach Kotdwar by bus from Delhi NCR or Train and then take taxi via Pauri and Srinagar and thereafter the follow the above route to reach Lohajung.
Lohajung from Kathgodam/Haldwani
From Kathgodam: Another route starts from Kathgodam. You can reach Kathgodam through Railways. If you start your journey from kathgodam, then you take a bus or hire a taxi from Kathgodam to Lohajung. This root offers you the popular hill stations of Kumaon region.
Places to Visit during Drive: Kathgodam - Ranikhet - Kausani - Gwaldam - Dewal - Lohajung.
