Naina Devi Bird Reserve: Naina Devi Himalayan Bird Conservation Reserve is a bird watching paradise. It was declared a bird reserve in march 2007 and open for public on May 2015. It covers an area of 111 kms along the Nainital - Kunjakhark Road. A wide range of bird species can be easily watch here. Among major species some are cheer pheasant, the red headed Vulture, greater spotted Eagle, the eastern imperial Eagle, grey-crowned Prinia ,the Black-Crested tit, Green -crowned Warber, Whistlers Warbler, though Koklass and Khaleej phesants. The forests of this reserve are rich in flora and fauna with five species of oak which serves as the habitat of vast variety of Himalayan birds and a healthy presence of rhododendron. The purpose of this Reserve is to provide peace to humans and wildlife .The outsiders are restricted to perform any disturbing noises like blow horns or play any musical instrument.
