What is an Ashram?

An Ashram is a place for where one can do various spritual practices, meditate and do Yoga to evolve and grow spiritually. There are some daily routine of the Ashram which is to be followed in order to stay in Ashram

There are many people staying in the Haridwar ashram as volunteers and if you want to stay there as volunteer then you have to work as per the guidance of the Ashrams. Haridwar Ashrams consist of only basic facilities with living quarters, dining hall, Yoga hall, library and gardens. There is no place or need for luxury in an Ashram.

1. Jai Ram Ashram

Haridwar is the most popular place in Uttarakhand where many pilgrims from all over India or thousands of tourist from all over the world visit every year. Haridwar is one of the top tourist and pilgrim destinations in India. Haridwar is almost crowded with tourists through all the year. It is at the Bhimgoda tank. The Ashram was established in the memory of Brahmleen Sri Jai Ramji Maharaj in 1974. The Ashram has many branches and organizations in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Delhi, Kurukshetra, Sonipat, and some other cities in India.

2. Prem Nagar Ashram

Prem Nagar Ashram, Haridwar

Haridwar is the ancient city and it is also a important Hindu Pilgrimage site in Uttarakhand, India. The rivers Ganga exits the Himalayan foothill at this place. It was established by Yogiraj Satgurudev Shri Hans Ji Maharaj, the ashram was made by his own devotees, who toiled hard to make Shri Hans Ji Maharaji's vision come true. It is at Prem Nagar, Jabalpur.

3. Sri Santoshpuri Ashram

Haridwar is the place where the popular Kumbh Mela hosted every 12 years. During this famous mela millions of pilgrims visit Haridwar and take a bath into the holy river Ganga and wash away their sins into the river. Babaji who creates this ashram has now gotten Samadhi but his German spouse handles the dealings of the ashram, they provide teaching facilities in yoga. It is located at Haripur Kalan, Haridwar.

4. Ma Anandmayi Ashram

Haridwar is situated on the right bank of the Ganga river. at the foothills of Shivalik ranges.  This place holds so much religious values for Hindu pilgrims. The ashram houses the samadhi shrine of Sri Anandamayi Ma noted saint of India. 5. Shankar Ashram

Haridwar is the gateway to several sacred places in Uttarakhand. Many people visit Haridwar every year and perform some pooja and aarti at the Ghats of Haridwar.  

It is at NH 58, Khanna Nagar, Haridwar. There's a daily schedule of activities, as well as personalized instruction and individualized spiritual retreats.

6. Shanti Kunj Ashram

7. Kanva Rishi Ashram

Haridwar is the primary center for Kanwar Yatra or Kanwar Pilgrims. in which millions of pilgrims gather sacred water from the holy river Ganga and carry it across hundreds of miles to dispense as offering in Shiva Temple or Shivlings. This ashram is a quick gateway from Haridwar, being on the outskirts. Needless to say, a visit to this ashram promises a feeling of peace and spirituality. Away from the hectic life of the city, the Kanva Rishi Ashram is a perfect place for nature lovers. It is in Rani Gali, Motichur, Haridwar.

8. Soham Ashram

Haridwar is the district in Uttarakhand. It is well connected by motorable roads you can easily reach there by your own vehicle or by using public transport. Soham Swami built an ashram named as Sohan Ashram in both cities in Nainital and Haridwar. He was born at Autsahi in Dhaka. It is located at Khadkhadi Road, Bhagirathi Nagar, Bhupatwala, Haridwar.

9. Saptrishi Ashram

Saptrishi Ashram, Haridwar

Haridwar has many ghats and pilgrims center where you can perform pooja and aarti. Many peoples take bath in the holy river Ganga and believe that the sacred water of this holy river will wash away all their sins. The popular ashram is situated just 5 km from Har ki Pauri. If you are seeking spiritualism, you should head straight to this sacred ashram in holy Haridwar. It is situated at Motichur, Haridwar.

10. Santosh Puri Ashram

Haridwar is the second-largest city in the Uttarakhand state of India and the first largest city of the district. This place holds so many religious values into the Hindu religious people's hearts. The ashram is very beautiful. There is a yoga hall and another hall mainly used for Kirtans. There is also a rooftop where we would have breakfast facing the sunrise and if the weather was not that cold we would do our morning yoga practice on it. It is located at Haripur Kalan, Haridwar.

11. Kutchi Lalrameshwar Ashram

Kutchi Lal Rameshwar Ashram, Haridwar

Haridwar is the ancient city which is situated in the banks of holy river Ganga.  It is a district in the Uttarakhand state. 

Kutchi Lalrameshwar Ashram was started by Bhagavan Odhavram, for all the kutch is traveling so far away from their home, but still, it feels the home here. With the grace of our Bhagavan Odhavram, it�s reached out to all the kitchens, hence people are eager to come here in laps of Gangaji and Kutchi Ashram. It is at Sapt Sarovar Marg, Haridwar.

12. Bholagiri Ashram

Haridwar is the gateway to several sacred places in Uttarakhand. Many people visit Haridwar every year and perform some pooja and aarti at the Ghats of Haridwar.
