Abbot Mount is well connected by motorable roads with major destinations of Uttarakhand. Even though it is well connected by motorable roads, this place is remote in its own way. Buses and taxis are easily available upto Lohaghat from where you can hire a shared taxi or a private one.

Driving directions to Abbott Mount from Delhi

Drive from Delhi via Moradabad, Rampur, Rudrapur, Khatima, Tanakpur and Lohaghat to reach Abbot Mount. It is situated 437 kms from Delhi.

Upon reaching Lohaghat drive towards Pithoragarh for 6 km & arrive at Marorakhan. Turn towards Abbott Mount, drive 1½ km and take a sharp ‘U’ turn and drive another ½ km to the lodge. This is the first lodge where the road ends.

Reaching Abbott Mount from Nainital and Ranikhet

• Drive from Nainital via Dhanachuli & Devidhura: 6 hours
• Drive from Ranikhet via Almora: 6 hours

The nearest rail heads to Abbot Mount are Tanakpur and Kathgodam. Kathgodam railway station is situated 163 kms from Abbot Mount, whereas Tanakpur is situated 80kms from Abbot Mount. Both these railway stations are well connected by railway networks with major cities of India.
