Mirtola Ashram was set up by Sri Yashoda Ma, a housewife turned ascetic in the 1930. This ashram is situated in the Almora district o Uttarakhand. The deed of trust for the establishment is dated Almora, July 4, 1929. The ashram was later run by his disciple, Sri Madhava Ashish, another Englishman, who also later settled in India.
Mirtola Ashram is en route to Pithoragarh from Almora, 3 km to the left of the main road after Panuanaula, 25 km after Almora. Almora is well connected with major northern cities via motorable roads. There are various bus services available from Delhi to Almora. The nearest railhead is Kathgodam railway station, which is 82 kms from Almora.
