How to reach Sankri/Saur Village
Direct Bus to Sankri: From Dehradun you can get direct buses to Sankri from Bus Station near Railway Station. Buses leave both the destinations early morning at 5:30 6:30 and 7:30. From Dehradun to sankri can be bought it from the Mussoorie bus stand near Dehradun Railway Station. You need not to pre-book these buses.
Note: In case you missed early morning buses, then you can take Hanol bus which goes via Mussoorie and get down at Mori. From Mori you can shared and private taxis/bolero to reach Sankri. You can also take buses to Purola as well and then take taxi from there.

Reaching Sankri by Shared Taxi/Jeeps: Shared jeeps can be taken from Dehradun to Purola and then from Purola to Mori. From Mori, shared Jeep's can be taken further till Naitwar and then from Naitwar to Sankri. Travelling by shared jeep increases dependency and is time-bound. You can get shared jeep to Purola from Dehradun till 3 pm. It takes about 4 - 5 hours to reach Purola on a shared jeep. If you are too late then from Purola you will not get any means to reach Mori and further.
From Dehradun the Route to Sankri is: Dehradun – Mussoorie – Nainbagh – Naugaon – Purola – Jarmola – Mori – Netwar – Sankri

Duration:- 7-9 hrs

There are various modes of transportation that are available to reach Dehradun:
- By Road: Dehradun is well connected with major northern cities via motorable roads. There are various bus services available from Delhi to Dehradun. One can opt for semi-deluxe, deluxe and AC Volvo as per their needs. In addition to that, Dehradun is connected with Delhi by buses on a regular basis from Kashmere Gate ISBT. Roadways buses takes 10 hours to reach Sankri and most of the direct ply early in the morning from Dehradun.
- By Rail: The Dehradun Railway Station is well-connected with various major Indian cities like Delhi, Lucknow and Kolkata etc. The frequency of trains to Dehradun is quite high as it is the gateway to the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
