Set out to Sangam Chatti after breakfast (14 kilometers) on a half an hour drive. This is the starting point of the trek. From Sangam Chatti the trail is well marked and climbs to the true right of the valley and continues to the village of Agoda. From this point it is a 2 kilometer trek to the settlement at Bhebra - an idellic village set near a gushing mountain stream, and full of green fields growing potatoes, beans and the famous Rajma (kidney Beans). Since this is the first day of the trek and aching muscles need to be rested in preparation for the steep climb the next day.
Dodital Trek: This trek is surrounded by dense forests of oak, pine and deodar which look beautiful. Dodital Trek is popular trekking destination among travelers. It is located in the border of Uttarkashi. This is a 30Kms trek which offers colored butterflies, dense forested areas and deep valleys conclude at Darwa Top at an elevation of 4200 meters. The trek to Dodital is covered in two days with midway camp at Bebra or Manjhi. After camping at Dodital, the trekkers attempt to reach the highest point of Darwa top on a day’s hike. In winters this treks becomes difficult to trek due to snow condition. This trek begins from Sangam Chatti which 15kms away from Uttarkashi.
The nearest Railway station is Haridwar. After that you can take a bus or hire a taxi for Uttarkashi which takes 6-7 hours. From Haridwar you can get easily regular buses and cabs. Haridwar is well connected to all Uttarakhand routes.
