Har Ki Pauri
Har Ki Pauri is a major landmark place and a famous ghat on the banks of river Ganga in Haridwar. A center place of attraction among devotees in Haridwar, Har ki Pauri is believed to be the place of exit of holy river Ganga from the mountains.
World famous Ganga Aarti takes place in Brahmakund area of Har ki Pauri, a sacred spot where it is believe that the nectar (Amrit) felled on earth. Biggest fairs of Hindu's, Kumbh and Ardh Kumbh also takes place at Har ki Pauri.
King Vikramaditya was constructed the sacred bathing ghats in Har ki Pauri in the memory of his brother, Bhatrihari who had come to meditate in Haridwar. It is believed that Lord Vishnu had visited Brahmkund in Har ki Pauri and a stone wall also has a large footprint which is believed to be belong to Lord Vishnu. Large number of devotees takes a holy dip everyday at river Ganga and Ganga Aarti is perform by the priest and people at sunset.

Har ki Pauri is located at the centre of Haridwar city on the banks of river Ganga. One can reach easily at Har ki Pauri by cycle or auto rickshaw from Haridwar bus stand. Nearest railway station to reach Har ki Pauri is Haridwar railway station (3 km) and airport at Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (33 kms).
