Out of the very few parks in Haridwar, Swami Vivekananda Park is considered one of the most beautiful and serene parks. The triangular shaped park, which lies on the banks of river Ganges, is enveloped in lush greenery and contains a large statue of the great Swami Vivekananda whose teachings have had a lasting impact on Indian culture.
The park is famous for its mighty statue of Lord Shiva, which is visible even from a distance.
However, it is the huge towering statue of Lord Shiva that grabs all the eye balls. Such is the height of the statue that it is visible from farther place. There is no entry fee to visit the park.
Tourists can visit the park and sit in a peaceful environment and joy the view of Har Ki Pauri from the park. The park is also ideal for family picnics.
Swami Vivekananda Park is located in In Haridwar ( near Hari ki pauri, Haridwar).
One can easily reach Swami Vivekananda Park as it is located near the Har Ki Paudi. The park lies adjacent to the National Highway bypass road. Since it is located just beside the road, there maybe not enough parking space for vehicles. Nearest railway station is Haridwar railway station which is only 1km from the park. Nearest airport is situated at Jolly Grant in Dehradun which is located 37 kms from Haridwar.
