Gulabi Kantha is located at a height of 12000 feet (3656 mts) above the sea level. It is a lush green bugyal (meadow) which lies on the other side of the famous freshwater lake trek popularly known as Dodital. GulabiKantha provides 360-degree view of The Himalayan mountain range such as Bandarpoonch peak, Kalindi sirkala, Shivalik mountains, and Chaukhamba peaks.

The meadow (bugyal) of Gulabikantha is around 2.5 kms in length and 1.5 kms wide. The place offers a panoramic view of sunrise and sunset. A wide variety of flora and fauna is also found here. The place is untouched and lesser-known to the trekking communities in India in spite of lying close to Dodital.

Gulabi means "Pink" and Kantha means "Hill" or "Pahaad" in Hindi. The name given to this is because the entire trek becomes pink with blooming pink flowers of Rhododendron in this region.

One can easily reach Dodital, Dayara Bugyal, Darwa Pass and Yamunotri from Gulabikantha via trek but should be accompanied by an experienced local guide.

Day 3: Seema thatch to Gulabi Kantha and back, 5 kms trek one side (Trek: 10 kms, 8 hours)
Day 4: Seema thatch to Hunaman Chatti (Trek: 10 kms, 7 to 8 hours)
Day 5: Depart from Hanuman Chatti. Drive back to Dehradun or Haridwar/Rishikesh.
