All facilities for skiing are available from Gharwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GMVNL) with certificate courses ranging from 4 days to 14 days, which include staying, food, ski gear charges, and guide.

Trekking in Joshimath

Joshimath is the base for trekking routes like Gorson Bugyal, Kuari Pass, Kagbhusandi tal, Hemkunth Sahib, Govind Ghat and Valley of flowers. You can take a taxi or a bus until Govind Ghat, which is around 26 kilometers from Joshimath. From there, start trekking uphill to Govind Dham, which is 13 kilometers away. Camping or lodging within the Valley of Flowers is not permitted. The sight of the colorful valley filled with blooming flowers surrounded by snow-capped peaks is truly mesmerizing.

This ropeway takes around 15 to 20 minutes to reach Auli from Joshimath. At a time it can carry around 25 passengers. The ride to Auli costs INR 500 including the return journey to Joshimath.
