Mana is a last Indian village from the border of India and Tibet/China in the Himalayas. It is located in the district of Chamoli. It’s been designated as a “Tourism Village” by the Uttarakhand government. Mana village is one of best tourist attraction nearby to Badrinath, It's just 3 kms from Badrinath town. The village is on the banks of the River Saraswati. It is situated at a height of around 3219 meters. The village is surrounded by Himalayan hills.

Mana is famous for its many things like woollen garments and materials (Mostly of Sheep wool), shawls, caps, muffler, ashan, pankhi (A thin blanket made of Sheep wool), carpet etc. Apart from this Mana is famous for its potatoes and kidney beans.
The traces of Hindu mythology, Mahabharata, are visible in Mana. It's believed that Pandavas had passed through Mana during their journey to heaven. There's a famous stone bridge created by Bheem (one of the five brothers among Pandavas) which is known as 'Bheem Pool' near River Saraswati. It's a huge rock formed as a bridge across river Saraswati.
Neelkanth: Neelkanth Peak is at a height of around 6,597 m above sea level and is known as the 'Queen of Gharwal'. The holy place of Badrinath can be seen from this peak. Numerous Brahmakamal can be seen from here. It is situated above the Badrinath temple.
Tapt Kund: Tapt Kund, a natural spring, is believed to be the abode place of Lord Agni. It is believed that the Kund has medicinal values and can cure many skin diseases. This place is visited by many travelers throughout the year.
Mata Murti Temple: This Temple is devoted to the mother of Lord Narayan. According to legends, Mata Murti requested Lord Vishnu to take birth as her son. Lord Vishnu granted her this wish by taking birth in the form of a twin, Nar and Narayan. The temple holds an annual fair in the month of august.
Vasudhara: It is a waterfall, which is located 9kms away from Badrinath temple. It is believed that this place is a temporary stay point of Pandavas, during their exile. The view of vasudhara river valley gives panoramic views.
Trekking This is a perfect place for trekking and there are many trekking spots that are located here. You can trek the many routes like Mana to Vasudhara, Mana to Mana Pass, Mana to Satopanth and Mana to Charanpaduka.
Vyas Gufa: It is believed that Ved Vyas lived here while composing the four Vedas. A distinct feature of the temple is the roof which resembles the pages from Ved Vyas collection of his Holy Books. There is small shrine in the cave which is dedicated to him, which is 5000 years old.
Ganesha Gufa: Here Ganesha dictated Mahabharatha to Shri Ved Vyas.
Bheem Pul: Bheem Pul is believed to have been created by Bheem (one of the five brothers among the Pandavas) near River Saraswati. It's a huge rock formed as a bridge across river Saraswati. Legend says that Bheem placed the rock to make way for Draupadi to cross the river during their journey to heaven.

Mana to Mana Pass: It is a mountain pass in the Himalayas on the border between India and Tibet. The pass contains the Deotal Lake from which the Saraswati River originates. Mana Pass is the source of the Saraswati River, a tributary of the Alaknanda River and the longest stem of the longest Ganges tributaries. Mana Pass is not open for civilians. A special permission is taken from administration before the trekking. The pass is only used by the Army and ITBP for carrying supplies to border posts. This pass offers you stunning views of Chaukhamba, a mountain summit of Garhwal Himalayan Range. On the way, drivers can capture the beauty of Deotal Lake.
