Valley of Flowers is one of those treks that you can do on your own. There are budget hotels and premium camp / properties in Ghangaria and the trail is well made hence making It easier to plan on your own. However, if you want to explore the best spots of Valley of Flowers and are an enthusiast then you can go for tour packages as well. From 1st to 20th Aug it is peak season hence do make your arrangements in advance if traveling during this time.

'Brahma Kamal' is one of the rare, legendary and mythological Himalayan flower found from 3500 mt. to 4500 mt. altitude and usually bloomed in monsoon season. Brahmakamal is also the state flower of Uttarakhand state.

6. Rare and endangered animal & birds species in Valley of Flowers

Asiatic black bears, brown bears, blue sheep, Himalayan Monal, red fox, snow leopard, musk deer are some of the animals found in the Valley of Flowers. All of the animals found in the Valley of Flowers are either rare or endangered. You will be able to see the animals nearby your trekking trail.

9. Sikh Pilgrimage Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara

Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara is one of the holiest places of worship of Sikhs. The calm and peace of the gurudwara along with the delicious Guru Prasad caters soothingly to the tired body of the trekkers. From Ghangaria, the trek towards the Valley of Flowers splits into two routes, one goes towards Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and the other towards Valley of Flowers. The deviation towards the gurudwara is worth taking as the trek is incomplete without visiting the gurudwara. Hemkund is one of the most beautiful lakes in Uttarakhand.
