Hemkund Sahib Helicopter Services
Important: Online helicopter tickets for the Govindghat–Ghangaria route are available only through the official IRCTC HeliYatra portal. Passengers must complete the mandatory pilgrimage registration before booking helicopter tickets.
The round-trip helicopter fare between Govindghat and Ghangaria is INR 10,584 per passenger (inclusive of the latest notified base fare, taxes and applicable charges may vary). The same helicopter service is used by pilgrims visiting Hemkund Sahib as well as visitors travelling to the Valley of Flowers.
Important: Every passenger must complete the mandatory registration for Hemkund Sahib or Valley of Flowers before travelling. Carry a valid government-issued photo ID and your helicopter booking confirmation while reporting at the helipad.
Hemkund Sahib is one of the highest Sikh pilgrimage destinations in the world, situated at an elevation of about 4,633 metres. Every year thousands of pilgrims undertake the journey via Govindghat and Ghangaria before trekking to the sacred gurudwara.

Scheduled helicopter services operate between Govindghat and Ghangaria during the Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers season, subject to weather conditions. The helicopter significantly reduces travel time to Ghangaria, from where pilgrims continue on foot to Hemkund Sahib and visitors trek to the Valley of Flowers National Park.

Helicopter Service for Valley of Flowers Visitors
Since both Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers share the same route up to Ghangaria, visitors to the national park can also use the Govindghat–Ghangaria helicopter service. After reaching Ghangaria, the Valley of Flowers entrance is approximately 3.5 km away on foot.
Travel Tip: Many visitors combine Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers in the same trip because both destinations share Ghangaria as the common base camp.

The scheduled helicopter service operates between Govindghat Helipad and Ghangaria Helipad. These are the two primary boarding and landing points for pilgrims travelling to Hemkund Sahib and visitors heading to the Valley of Flowers.
