Devalsari is a hidden paradise of umpteen variety of colorful butterflies in the Aglar Valley of Tehri Garhwal. Latest happenings in the la-la land of butterflies

A nature and bird-watching camp was organised by Titli Trust, an NGO supported by the Mussoorie forest division and the ecotourism wing of Uttarakhand forest department. The 32 participants were bewildered by the variety of bird and butterfly life at Devalsari. They counted 60 species of birds and 70 species of butterflies. On just one three-hour walk, participants counted 60 butterfly species. There were over 1,000 butterflies spotted.
