The church had a high significance in the times bygone as it was built as a Presbyterian Church in 1903. The Kellog’s Memorial Church was also the home of the Landour Language School where the British used to learn Hindi while they were ruling India. The Church was named for Rev, Dr. Samuel H Kellogg (1839-1899). He was an American Presbyterian missionary and was very active in Landour. He was a great scholar, in 19th century he wrote the best book of Hindi grammar in English for the better understanding of the language for the Britishers.
