Pakhro is the new entry gate for Corbett Tiger Reserve (Sonanadi zone). Sonanadi comes under the Corbett National Park. Visitors can enter it from the Pakhro entry gate. You can reach Pakhor zone in less than  2 hours from Jolly grant airport, Dehradun

Sonanadi Zone is blessed with the amazing beauty of flora and fauna. Animals like Elephant, Tiger, and leopards are some that you can see in the zone. Pakhro Gate is one of the entry points to the Sonanadi Range of Corbett National Park. Located 23 km from Kotdwara. It takes a 30-minutes drive from Kotdwar. It is just near Pakhro Forest  Rest House.

Pakhro Zone in Corbett National Park

Now there is a new entry gate for Corbett National Park which is named Pakhro gate which is situated in the Sonanadi zone. Visitors can enter it from the Pakhro entry gate. Sonanadi Zone is blessed with the amazing beauty of flora and fauna. Animals like Elephant, Tiger, and leopards are some that you can see in the zone. Sonanadi means the river of gold, which comes under Corbett Tiger Reserve has three types of government forest rest houses available to make tourists stay a memorable one - Saneh, Kolhuchaur, Pakhro, Moreghatti, etc. Besides this, you can book a private rest house, hotels at Kotdwar. 

Jungle Safari at Pakhro Range Corbett Tiger Reserve

It is 2-3 hours safari by Jeep, in which you can experience the Jungle of this side of Corbett. Pakhro zone is famous for the Tigers, Leopards,  elephant, and many more wild animals. Jeep safaris are the main transport options around the reserve. Private vehicles are not allowed inside the Corbett Tiger Reserve forest, and this is one of the main points to note while taking up a trip to Corbett Tiger Reserve.

At Pakhro you can get the chance of viewing Spotted Deer, Wild Boar, Sambhar,  tiger, Barking deer, leopard, Goral Two kinds of Bears Himalayan Black, and  Sloth, and around 200 bird species makes Kalagarh Tiger Reserve a perfect wildlife safari and bird-watching destination.
