Location of Bagini Glacier
The Bagini glacier is situated to the east of Joshimath town of Uttarakhand. It is located in the midst of the Nanda Devi National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This silvery glacier is surrounded by the ginormous peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul, Nanda Kot, Dunagiri and more.
How to reach Bagini Glacier
Road Route From Delhi: Delhi – Meerut – Haridwar –Rishikesh – Devprayag – Srinagar – Rudraprayag - Karnaprayag – Chamoli – Joshimath – Trekking 27 kms.
Joshimath is a nearest town to Bagini glacier, Joshimath ideally connected via NH-58 with nearest railhead that is Rishikesh/Haridwar. You can reach Rishikesh/Haridwar easily by air or by train then you reach Joshimath by road.
One can book cab or reach through sharing vehicle, which is easily available from Rishikesh/Haridwar towards Joshimath. Next day you drive to Jumma, which is last road head to Bagini Glacier from here Bagini trek is start.
