Lakshman Temple is a popular ancient temple located on the banks of river Ganga in Rishikesh. Famous for the ancient sculptures and painting on the walls of the temple, Lakshman Temple is believed to be the same place where Lord Lakshman, younger brother of Lord Ram had meditated on this place to seek spiritual enlightenment. Many believes that here Lord Ram and Lakshman constructed a jute bridge, which is now popular as the Lakshman Jhula.
