So far, 6,53,812 devotees have visited Badrinath Dham. On Saturday, June 7, 2025, 23,126 devotees paid their respects to Lord Badrivishal.

More than 5.5 lakh devotees visited in 12 days, registration figure crossed 27 lakh

According to the tourism department, more than 5.50 lakh devotees have visited the four Dhams from 30 April to 11 May. Out of these, 2.27 lakh devotees visited Kedarnath Dham, 1.17 lakh in Badrinath, 94251 in Gangotri, 1.13 lakh in Yamunotri.

Offline Registration For Char Dham Yatra Begins In Haridwar

Char Dham Yatra 2025 preparations complete says Uttarakhand CM Dhami

Chief Minister Dhami said that all preparations have been completed for the Char Dham Yatra 2025. He told, “The doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri will open on 30 April. Kedarnath Dham will open on May 2 while Badrinath Dham will open on May 4.

The Chief Secretary inspected the master plan works going on in Badrinath. During this, he inspected the Arrival Plaza, Civic Amenity Center, Badrish and Shesh Netra Lake, River Front and Hospital. Married women threaded sesame oil in Narendranagar palace, Akhand Jyoti is lit in Badrinath Dham

During this, married women kept fast and wore yellow clothes and threaded oil with pestle, mortar and grinding stone. The threaded oil will be filled in the Kalash. Mobile Phones Banned Within 30 Meters of Badrinath and Kedarnath Temples – Reels and Videos Not Allowed

During this year's Chardham Yatra, filming videos and creating social media reels will be strictly prohibited within a 30-meter radius of the Badrinath and Kedarnath temple premises. The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) is set to implement this rule to ensure better crowd management and maintain the sanctity of the temple areas.

Additionally, strict action will be taken against individuals spreading misinformation on social media. The use of mobile phones for video recording or making reels within the restricted zone will not be permitted under any circumstances.

Vehicles without Trip Card will not be able to participate in Char Dham Yatra

Chardham yatra registration start date 2025

Registration for Chardham Yatra has started from 20 March 2025. It will be mandatory for the devotees to provide Aadhar card details for registration. Light snowfall started in the high altitude areas of the state from Sunday evening and its still snowing at some places. The second snowfall of the season occurred on Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Harshil, Chopta, Tungnath, Suki Top, Auli and Mussoorie and other peaks.

Nar-Narayan Jayanti in Badrinath on 9 and 10 Aug

This year, Lord Nar-Narayan birth anniversary will be celebrated in Badrinath Dham from Shravan Shukla Panchami Friday, 09 August. The two-day program will conclude on 10 August 2024.

On the first day after Bal Bhog in Badrinath temple, the idol doli of Lord Nar-Narayan will depart to Mata Murti Mandir. After Abhishek Puja, the idol doli will return to Badrinath Dham. On 10 August, the idols of Lord Nar-Narayan will reach Badrivishal birthplace Leela Dhungi. Where Dharmadhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal, Vedpathi Ravindra Bhatt and priest Sushil Dimri will complete the Abhishek of Lord Nar-Narayan.

Chardham Yatra witnesses record-breaking registration of 15 Lakh participants in 10 Days

The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is set to commence on May 10, and even before its initiation, a record-breaking number of devotees have registered. According to the tourism department report, 494,129 registrations have been recorded for Kedarnath, 414,260 for Badrinath, 265,110 for Gangotri, 243,982 for Yamunotri, and 21,804 for Hemkund Sahib.

President Draupadi Murmu visits Badrinath Dham

On Wednesday, President Draupadi Murmu made a visit to the Badrinath shrine, marking the second day of her three-day trip to Uttarakhand.

Welcomed at the Army helipad in Badrinath, the president was greeted by Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (retd), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and other senior government officials. Engaging in prayers for approximately 25 minutes, she conducted a pooja ritual within the temple premises, as reported by district officials.

Badrinath, Kedarnath temples will close at 4 pm on October 28 due to lunar eclipse

All temples governed by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, including the Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines, will observe closure at 4 pm on Saturday due to the lunar eclipse.

The Badrinath and Kedarnath temples are scheduled to reopen during the brahma muhurta after the morning purification puja on Sunday.

Other affiliated shrines affected by the closure include the Shri Narasingh Temple in Joshimath, Second Kedar Madmaheshwar, Third Kedar Tungnath, Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, and Yoga Badri.
