Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun
An important feature of Raipur Cricket Stadium or Doon sports club is its seating arrangement. The seating capacity of the stadium is 25,000 people and the arrangement resembles Aipan, a traditional Kumaoni art.
This year, Dehradun Cricket Stadium hosted its first ever ODI and the first and only test cricket series. The matches were a part of bilateral cricket series between Afghanistan and Ireland held from 21st February to 19th March. The series started off with three T20 matches, five one-day matches, and ended with a test match. The first ODI took place on 28 February 2019 and the first test cricket series was held from 15-18 March 2019 between Argentina and Ireland.
Apart from cricket, the stadium also hosts other events. Uttarakhand Investors Summit 2018, was held in the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is located in the Raipur area on Thano road. It is well connected with Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport. If you are traveling to the stadium from the airport, you need not go via Dehradun city. Travel to the stadium via Thano road. The route goes through forests and is very scenic. You can take the Thano road if you are traveling from Rishikesh and Haridwar too.
If you are traveling from Dehradun city or Dehradun Railway Station, then you can travel to Clock Tower first and then take a local taxi or bus to Raipur Cricket Stadium. It is located at just 8kms from Clock Tower.
