Chandrabani Temple Mythology

According to popular beliefs, it is believed that sage Gautama along with his wife and daughter Anjani used to live at this holy place. Sage Gautama and his family were worshipped by the locals. Some folklore suggests that the mighty river Ganga manifested herself at this holy place at Gautama Kund nearby. Therefore, pilgrims and devotees travel from far and wide to take a dip in the holy kund.
