There are three trek routes to Khatling Glacier. The most popular trek route is through Ghuttu Village, followed by Malla Village, and Gangotri.
Route 1: Khatling Glacier Trek via Ghuttu Village.

Route 3: Khatling Glacier Trek Via Gangotri.
Ghuttu Village by road, rail, and air
By road: If you are planning to undertake Khatling Glacier trek from Ghuttu Village, then you will have to take a bus or taxi from Rishikesh or Tehri to Ghuttu/Ghansali. Ghattu Village has located at a distance of 64 km from Tehri Garhwal and 155 km from Rishikesh.
If you are traveling from Delhi, you can first take a bus or taxi till Rishikesh and then take a taxi to Ghuttu or Ghansali. You can also hire a direct taxi from Delhi to Ghuttu.
The route from Delhi to Ghuttu Village is as follows-
Delhi – Rishikesh –Tehri – Ghuttu Village
By rail: The nearest railway station from Ghuttu Village is Rishikesh Railway Station and Haridwar Railway Station. From there, you can take a bus or taxi until Ghuttu/Ghansali.
By air: The nearest airport from Ghuttu Village is Jolly Grant Airport located at a distance of 170 km from Ghuttu. You can hire a cab from the airport till Rishikesh and then take a bus from Rishikesh to Ghuttu/Ghansali or you can directly hire a cab from Jolly Grant Airport to the airport.
Malla Village by road, rail, and air
By road: Malla Village is a small village in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and located about 25 km from Uttarkashi. Taxis to Malla Village are easily available from Uttarkashi.
Buses and taxis to Uttarkashi are available from Delhi and all major cities of Uttarakhand. The distance between Delhi and Uttarkashi is 387 km.
You can either travel directly to Uttarkashi or halt at Rishikesh.
The route from Delhi to Malla Village is as follows-
Delhi – Rishikesh – Chamba – Uttarkashi – Malla Village (Gangotri road)
By rail: The nearest railway station from Uttarkashi is Rishikesh Railway Station and Haridwar Railway Station located at a distance of 165 km and 190 km from Uttarkashi respectively. Buses and taxis to Uttarkashi are easily available from Rishikesh and Haridwar.
By air: The nearest airport from Uttarkashi is Jolly Grant Airport located at a distance of 180 km from Uttarkashi. Taxis to Uttarkashi or Malla Village are easily available from Jolly Grant Airport.
Gangotri by road, rail, and air
By road: Gangotri lies in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and is well connected to Delhi and all major cities of Dehradun. If you are traveling by bus from Delhi, then you can book a bus to Rishikesh or Uttarkashi and then take a taxi to Gangotri from there. Gangotri is just 100 km from Uttarkashi and taxis to Gangotri are easily available from both Uttarkashi and Rishikesh.
You can also hire a cab from Delhi to Gangotri.

Delhi – Haridwar – Rishikesh – Uttarkashi – Harsil – Gangotri
By rail: The nearest railway station from Gangotri is Rishikesh Railway Station located at a distance of 262 km from Gangotri. You can easily hire a bus and taxis from Rishikesh to Gangotri.
By air: The nearest airport from Gangotri is Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) located at a distance of 250 km from Gangotri. You can hire taxis from the airport to Gangotri. You can also hire chopper services from Dehradun to Gangotri.
