10419 registered offline on the first day for Yatra- 65 counters set up at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Herbetpur, Vikasnagar

Offline registration for Chardham Yatra has started from Monday. On the first day, 10419 pilgrims registered in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Herbertpur, Vikasnagar. The registration figure has crossed 22 lakhs including online and offline.

Chardham Yatra begins - 741 passengers left Rishikesh in 19 buses om 28 April

On the first day, 741 passengers left Rishikesh for Chardham in 19 rotation buses. Most of the passengers were from Madhya Pradesh. Garhwal Commissioner and DM also reached the transit camp and inspected the travel arrangements. Check Char Dham Tours.

Uttarakhand CM Launches Rishikesh Rafting Hub and Parking Project to Enhance Tourism

The Chief Minister announced that a new multi-storey parking facility in Rishikesh, accommodating over 1,000 vehicles, will significantly alleviate traffic and parking issues. This will help manage traffic congestion during the Chardham Yatra. Additionally, consolidating various departmental offices under one roof will provide greater convenience to the public. India's Longest Railway Tunnel Nears Completion in Uttarakhand's Janasu

The 14.57-km tunnel no. 8 between Devprayag and Janasu, part of the 125-km Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail Link Project, marked a milestone with its breakthrough on Wednesday. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw witnessed the breakthrough of India’s longest rail tunnel at Janasu in Uttarakhand on Wednesday.

Vehicles without Trip Card will not be able to participate in Char Dham Yatra

A Rafting Base Station is set to be developed in Rishikesh with an investment of INR 100 crore

The project aims to bridge infrastructure gaps, enhance the overall tourist experience, and stimulate economic growth by centralizing rafting operations and upgrading facilities. Currently, a systematic booking system for rafting adventures is lacking at popular starting points like Brahmapuri, Shivpuri, and Kaudiyala, as well as at ending points such as Neem Beach, Laxman Jhula, and Janki Jhula. From 1 Nov, Vehicles will not be allowed at night on Devprayag Rishikesh Highway

Devprayag Police has taken a big decision to stop the increasing vehicle accidents at night on Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway. It has been decided to ban the movement of vehicles at night on Devprayag Rishikesh Highway from November 1. Only emergency services will be free from this ban.

There will be a ban on the movement of vehicles between Devprayag and Rishikesh from 10 pm to 5 am. If people are planning to travel at night, they should stop at Rishikesh, Srinagar, Devprayag, otherwise they may have to face trouble. This step has been taken for the safety of local people and travelers.
