CM Dhami Attends International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the ongoing International Yoga Festival (IYF) at Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh on Friday. He joined spiritual leaders and participants from around the world on the banks of the Ganga River for a traditional yagna and evening Ganga aarti in Rishikesh.

The week-long festival has attracted over 1,500 participants from nearly 80 countries. The event includes yoga sessions, meditation practices, philosophical discussions, and cultural programmes, promoting yoga and spiritual tourism in the region.

The famous Neergarh waterfall of Rishikesh may be closed from July 1 for the safety of tourists

Due to monsoon, there is a danger of increased water flow in the waterfall and slippery conditions on the trekking route. The Forest Department has alerted the Waterfall Operation Committee, after which the committee has taken this decision. The official date will be announced in the next two days.

Uttarakhand Government Partners with Swiss Firm for Rishikesh Ropeway

The Uttarakhand government has signed an MoU with Swiss ropeway manufacturer Bartholet Maschinenbau AG to develop a ropeway linking Tapovan in Rishikesh to the Kunjapuri Temple in Narendranagar, boosting sustainable tourism and pilgrimage infrastructure.

10419 registered offline on the first day for Yatra- 65 counters set up at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Herbetpur, Vikasnagar

Offline registration for Chardham Yatra has started from Monday. On the first day, 10419 pilgrims registered in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Herbertpur, Vikasnagar. The registration figure has crossed 22 lakhs including online and offline.

A Rafting Base Station is set to be developed in Rishikesh with an investment of INR 100 crore

From 1 Nov, Vehicles will not be allowed at night on Devprayag Rishikesh Highway

Devprayag Police has taken a big decision to stop the increasing vehicle accidents at night on Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway. It has been decided to ban the movement of vehicles at night on Devprayag Rishikesh Highway from November 1. Only emergency services will be free from this ban.

There will be a ban on the movement of vehicles between Devprayag and Rishikesh from 10 pm to 5 am. If people are planning to travel at night, they should stop at Rishikesh, Srinagar, Devprayag, otherwise they may have to face trouble. This step has been taken for the safety of local people and travelers.
