Garud Chatti in Rishikesh

This beautiful waterfall is hidden amidst the lush greenery that envelops Rishikesh. The waterfall is small but beautiful first sight; however, the way the water flows from seven different points and collects at the centre of waterfall to create a natural pool is what attracts tourists to this place. 

The waterfall gets its name from the Garud Temple which is situated on the road near the waterfall. Garud Chatti waterfall in Rishikesh comes alive during the monsoons when the water flows at seven different levels and makes for a photogenic landscape. It is a lovely place to visit and to spend a couple hours with friends and loved ones.

Location & How to Reach Garud Chatti

One has to trek for about 1.5 kms in order to reach Garud Chatti waterfall which starts from the Garud temple near the road. It is located 3 kms from the Laxman Jhula on the Neelkanth Temple road. Shared cabs and local buses ply on the road daily. Rishikesh itself has the nearest railway station while Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun is the closest airport, located just 20 kms from Rishikesh.
