Bollywood actresses Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor visited Kedarnath Dham during their spiritual trip to Uttarakhand. During their visit, the actresses offered prayers at the Kedarnath Temple and also trekked to the nearby Bhairavnath Temple, which overlooks the Kedarnath valley.
Sara Ali Khan has a long association with Kedarnath as her debut Bollywood film Kedarnath, opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was extensively filmed in and around the shrine. Her return to the temple, this time as a pilgrim, attracted considerable attention among devotees and fans.
Kedarnath holds a special place in Sara Ali Khan's journey as an actor because her debut film, Kedarnath, was based around the famous Himalayan shrine. Revisiting the temple allowed her to reconnect with a place that marked the beginning of her film career while also undertaking a personal spiritual journey.

Bhairavnath Temple is situated on a hilltop approximately 500 metres above Kedarnath Temple. Dedicated to Lord Bhairav, the guardian deity of Kedarnath, the temple offers panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and the Mandakini valley. Most pilgrims visit Bhairavnath Temple before or after seeking blessings at Kedarnath.
Kedarnath has featured in several documentaries, travel shows and Bollywood productions. The 2018 film Kedarnath, starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput, introduced millions of viewers to the beauty, history and spiritual significance of the Himalayan shrine.
