Sheshnetra in Badrinath

One kilometer from Badrinath on the opposite bank of the river is Sheshnetra where the eye of the serpent Shesha on which Lord Vishnu reclines, is seen on a rock. A large stone is marked with one eye of this legendary snake. It is believed that Sheshnetra guards the holy shrine of Badrinath. Sheshnetra is considered one among the remarkable holy sites in Badrinath.
