Borasu Pass - The last valleys of Uttarakhand and Himachal

Situated at an elevation of 5480 meters, Borasu is a high altitude pass that bisects the border between Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. It is the pass that connected Tons valley in Uttarakhand to Baspa river valley. 

It is believed to be an ancient trade route between the two valleys. The Borasu Pass offers varied landscapes that leave treks and travelers awestruck. It is one of the rarely explored regions in Himalayas that is worth a mention.

Trekking Route To Borasu Pass

Borasu Pass is located near the border to Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The pass is open to public only for couple of months before rainy season and few months before the winter shrouds the region under heavy snow. In order to reach Borasu Pass one needs to trek 3-4 days from the Har Ki Doon valley and Borasu Glacier. Trekking in north direction, one reached Morinda Gad which is just 3 kms from Har Ki Dun. After continuing on the path for further 5 kms along the widened trekking trails, one reaches the Baspa valley. The Doaria camping grounds are perfect to spend overnight.
