Here are a few steps about how to reach the Valley of flowers by using public transport.
- Reach ISBT Kashmiri Gate, New Delhi, and try to take a late-night bus to Rishikesh.
- You will probably reach Rishikesh around 4 am or before. Now get a bus towards Joshimath.
- There are plenty of buses available to Joshimath side from Rishikesh bus stand, in-case there is no direct bus to Joshimath then break your journey as below.
Rishikesh - Deoprayag - Srinagar - Rudraprayag - Karnaprayag - Chamoli - Joshimath - Govindghat
Rishikesh to Valley of flowers road distance: 270 Kms
You will probably reach Govindghat in the evening. You can also choose sharable jeeps like Tata sumo and Maxx to reach Govindghat. At Govindghat, you can book your stay for that night. You can start your trek in the next morning to Valley of flowers.
The road distance between Delhi and Valley of flowers: 502 Kms till Govindghat because Govindghat is the last road head to Valley of flowers trek & further 8.1 miles is the trek route.

Tip: Facility of comfortable fully Ac buses from Delhi to Rishikesh are available, after reaching Rishikesh, you can book a cab or SUV if you are in the group to avoid tiredness of hectic hilly road journey. It will also gonna save your time. You can also book direct taxis to Govindghat if you have a good budget.

There is no direct train facility to Valley of flowers from New Delhi, the nearest railway station is at Rishikesh which is about 270 kms from Govindghat, the closes road head to this trek.
